The robotic island for drilling and trimming heads from a 3D file provided by the customer is capable of performing completely autonomously:

  • trimming of the edge, completely deburred, both flat and inclined with tapering;
  • multiple drilling of the surface, respecting the required dimensions and inclinations.
The RIBO 15 flanging machine shown in action in this video enables the production of heads up to 15 mm thick with or without a central hole. Tecnofondi is equipped with several cold flanging machines for the production of heads up to 32 mm thick and has a complete set of bronze-aluminum alloy rollers up to a radius of 450 mm, specifically designed for the production of dished heads in stainless steel. This video shows the flanging of a torispherical head with a diameter of 1900 x 6 mm.
The belt unit shown in operation in this video is part of the polishing line consisting of 1 grinding positioner with orthogonal axes and 2 grinding units with 3 kW power per belt and brush wheel. With the belt unit we can polish heads up to a diameter of 5 m of various profiles, including the hemispherical profile, achieving roughness values below 0.01 micron both inside and outside the head using abrasive belts of various grits and a cotton brush wheel for polishing.
